Delicious Butter Made By Years 1 and 2 Pupils

Have you ever wondered how butter is made? Well, on Friday the 15th of November 2019, Years 1 and 2 pupils of The English International School, Benin explored the process of butter production from cow’s milk cream. The children took turns in whipping the liquid milk cream and observed the liquid thicken at first, then fats began to separate from the liquid.

It was an exciting experience as the pupils observed and saw the formation of buttery yellow solids and a cloudy liquid appear!

We ate our butter with biscuits. Yummy!
