Earth Day

Earth Day is a special day,

Bringing great awareness

Learn what you can do to help

Show that you’re not careless

Recycling is an easy thing,

Placing items in a special bin

Some things you don’t throw away

Paper, glass and tin

Conserve resources and find new ways

To get you where you are going

Take a walk or ride a bike

Keep air pollution from growing

Don’t forget about Tree Day

Plant a tree that will thrive

Grow a vegetable garden,

Help our Earth remain alive!

Our Home Earth

The earth is ours to enjoy

For every girl and boy

But we must always be aware

That all its beauty we must share

With all the children yet to come

Who want to play, laugh and run.

We must keep our Earth free

By planting many plants and trees!

We must keep our Earth clean

From messy trash and debris!

We have to try, you’ll see

It starts with you and me!

By: Hamdan Shaikh, Year 3

Mother Earth

Mother nature pleaded

However, people greeded

Tons of trash

Caused her to rash

Losing a precious charm

Has brought us harm

The sky was once blue

Now it’s just grey we spew

It is no lie

Or we are going to die

Twenty-seventy

The loss of humanity.

By: Angie Porvian, Year 4

Earth

I have a big house called ‘Earth’

It’s a nice place I have heard

There is clean air that comes from trees

There are mountains where it can freeze

There are blue waters

And many colours

That’s why if we work together

Our earth will survive forever.

By: Sanjit Lachhwani, Year 3

Poem of Earth Day

Our Earth is special

There is just one

It gives us water

Soil and sun

People and animals share the land

Let’s all share a ‘helping hand’!

You can save water and plant a tree

Let’s make a better home for you and me

Recycle things, don’t throw away

Stop the pollution of our Earth

And join hands to save the Earth

Make everyday an Earth Day.
