Middle School Play - Moliere's "Tartuffe"

It was quite a big deal for us, as we had never done anything like it before.  We were excited and could not wait to get it over and done with.

Even though we are amateurs, we were ready to give it our best shot.  Before the play started, we were told to ‘break a leg.’

I made my way to the stage, a huge crowd in front, and introduced what we were going to act out.  The second I finished, I made my way to the backstage to play the flute, as it acted as a cue for the others on the stage to start acting.  Act 1 was in progress and the other actors, including myself, were practising our lines. 

It was a bit long with all the monologues, but acting it out gave a lot of emphasis on my character’s (Tartuffe’s) personality.

Finally the play ended, with a curtain call that went swell…

On the morning of the 26th of January, EIS held it's International Day

E.I.S. gets into the Christmas spirit as the festive season approaches.

E.I.S. Halloween 2017 as seen through the eyes of Mrs. Akinwumi, Class Teacher of Years 10 and 11.

Silver Prize winner at FESPACO for his film, “L’Orage Africain,”as well as winner of the Burkina Faso National Assembly Prize, Sylvestre Amoussou graced the E.I.S. Upper School with his presence and the projection of his first major film, “Africa Paradis.” He was accompanied by Mr. Adrien Guillot, Executive Director of the Espace Tchif Cultural Centre - Cotonou, where Sylvestre Amoussou’s films are being projected during the week of 16 – 22 October 2017.

Teachers presented Cambridge curriculum materials in classrooms and discussed school philosophy, classroom routines, expectations and goals.
