We used

  • Transparent plastic bottle
  • Vinegar
  • Plastic glove
  • Bicarbonate of soda
  • Teaspoon

This is what we did

  • We added a little vinegar to the transparent plastic bottle
  • We filled one finger of a plastic glove with a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
  • We carefully stretch the glove over the top of the plastic bottle.
  • Lastly we lifted the finger of the glove and added the bicarbonate of soda.

We watched the glove become puffy and puffy!

On the 22nd of March 2021, Year 2 pupils of The English International School joined the rest of the world to celebrate World Water Day with the 2021 theme, Valuing Water.

Andrea Melissa EL HAJJ, who after 11 years of practising the Afro-Brazilian martial art / dance at E.I.S., writes to us from Jacobs University where she has started her own Capoeira Club.

E.I.S. celebrated its array of cultures as students expressed joy in being part of a global community.

Through Origami, Years 6, 7 and 8 students have been developing the following skills and more.

Inspired by their Global Perspectives topic on the importance of Community Service, Year 6 decided to focus on serving their own school community through a cleaning project.
