The Globe Theatre of London Touring Company visit

If anyone is thinking of taking revenge upon another person for wrongs, either real or imagined, think again.

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio.

Our school had a real treat on Sunday 8th of March when we received a visit from the Globe Theatre of London Touring Company who put on a performance of "Hamlet" on our school field. It is sufficient to say that the revenge idea did not end well.

Dost thou come here to whine? To outrage me with leaping in her grave?

For the first time, I was able to fully appreciate and follow the plot. I particularly liked the actor who played the part of the King and the ghost. What should a man do but be merry?

It was a very convincing performance and gave some excellent pointers to the aspiring actors among our students who will shortly be performing Shakespeare’s "The Merchant of Venice.”
