Years Three and Four make use of the postal system in Benin
Keren d’Almeida, Year 4
On Monday, 20th March 2023, we went to the post office in front of the airport. We went with Mrs. Magdalene, Mrs. Corine and Mrs. Judith. We went with the school bus at half past eight.
After a few minutes, we arrived at the post office. We were already excited to post our letters. Once we entered, they told us to buy the stamps for our letters. Once we bought the stamps, we directly stuck them on our letters. It was a pretty long queue to buy the stamps, but all of us bought them. When we finished buying the stamps, we went outside to put our letters in the post box. Once done, we headed back to school. It was a very fun experience.
Anna Catherina Semaan, Year 3
Today at 8:30 we went to the post office to post cards. I posted cards to my aunties. When we arrived, all of us bought stamps and I saw many packages. We went with Mrs. Magdalene, Madame Corine and Madame Judith. After the stamps were on, we posted the cards. I hope they will be received. I felt excited to go to there and I hope my aunties will be happy.
Fenou McCracken, Year 3
I went to the post office with my class and my dad. When I got there I waited in line to get my post card stamped. The number of stamps I got was six stamps and I thought I would get one!
At the end I put my post card in a yellow box. When I was in the bus I saw someone open the yellow box and take out the post cards. To me, going to the post office felt like going to the airport probably because it was next to the airport.
