Dear Parents,

Thank you for your presence on International Day. Our children presented a fine programme of singing, dancing, poetry and fashion. We are proud of our children and of the spirit of global unity that they project. Your contributions of delicious food and decorations for display were greatly appreciated and we thank you heartily for them. I wish to extend special words of thanks to Mrs. Al-Kuwari and Mrs. Suri, who gave much of their time to help decorate the Asia room with teachers and children on the afternoon preceding the event.

As the school year draws to a close, I’d like to call your attention to the following information and reminders:

Yearbook

The 2012 – 2013 E.I.S. Yearbook will be available in September 2013. The cost of the Yearbook will be 7,000 fcfa for those who order and pay by 28^th June 2013.  After that date the cost will be 10,000 fcfa. Orders and payments will be taken by Mr. Khaled Soumanou (School Secretary) or Mr. Amos Davis (School Accountant). Kindly leave a forwarding address if you will not be returning to Cotonou.

Summer Parties

The Upper School party will be held on Friday, 21^st June from 19:00 – 21:00.  Middle and Lower Schools, as well as the Pre-School, will hold their parties next week.  Information on next week’s parties will be forthcoming directly from class teachers.

Reports out – Wednesday, 26th June

Child Progress Conferences – Thursday, 27th June

15:00 – 17:00 Middle and Upper School parents see teachers in turn.

Appointment times will be arranged for Lower School parents.

Last Day of Term / Prize Giving – Friday, 28th June, 9:00 – 10:30

Our farewell ceremony on this official last day of school will be held in the Institut Français Paillote. We ask parents to kindly take their children directly to the Institut Français just before 9:00. School will end immediately following the ceremony, so please make sure that unaccompanied children are collected promptly from the Institut Français. We look forward to seeing you there. We ask parents to kindly inform teachers if, for certain reasons, they will need to travel before the final day.

I would like to wish you, in advance, a pleasant, safe and restful holiday, and thank you for your cooperation and support throughout the school year.

The first day of term for the 2013 – 2014 academic year will be on Monday, 9^th September.
