English International School Information, 13th March 2020

Dear Parents,

Out of an abundance of caution, we continue our proactive measures to do our best to keep our school community safe and healthy. We are following the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO), as well as implementing the Beninese government’s instructions with regard to quarantine of those returning from infected regions. Such has been outlined in the Newsletter of 9th March 2020.

As we approach the end of term, please note the changes to what has been our traditional March programme. You will be informed if modifications to the following will be needed due to new COVID-19 situations.

School Fair – Cancelled
Our plan is to have a fun fair day at school on Friday, 20th March, with games and entertainment for E.I.S. children. Raffle / Tombola tickets will be sold next week to honour our commitment to charity, and we will hold the drawing with the children present on that day. The fun fair will take place during the regular school hours.

Child Progress Conferences – Week of 23rd March
Conferences are planned to take place according to appointments with teachers.

Fancy Hat Parade
This event, a tradition in school which customarily takes place on the last day of term, will be an internal event this year on Friday, 27th March. School will end at 12:00 noon on that day.

After-School Activities
It is important that you make sure that After-School Activity fees for this term have been settled with instructors.
