Dear Parents,

At this point in mid-June, I call your attention to the following information and reminders:

Reports Out – Friday, 16th June

Reports will be sent home with children on Friday, 16th June. Teachers have begun arranging appointment times to meet in person or virtually with parents for Child Progress Conferences.

E.I.S. Sports / Fun Day – Friday, 23rd June

A day of fun races, games and talent show type presentations on the school field is being organised. More information will be forthcoming from Class Teachers.

E.I.S. Yearbook

The Yearbook will soon be out at the price of 10,000 fcfa per copy. Orders, with payment, are now being taken by the school secretary, Mrs. Adjarath Tiamiou.

Transfer Certificates and Other Documents

Kindly note that all documents should be requested before 26th June.

Public Holiday – Eid al Adha

Although it has been noted on our school calendar as 28th June, we will all listen out for the official announcement of this moveable feast to know exactly on which date school will be closed.

Last Day of Term / Prize Giving – Friday, 30th June, Institut Français Paillote

The 30th of June is the official last (partial) day of school. We end on this day with a farewell ceremony for Years 3 – 13 (from 10:00 – 11:30), during which we reflect on the academic year and award prizes.

School Uniform and Equipment

Whilst looking ahead to the next academic year, please refer to the school website’s Uniform and Equipment section to make sure that your child will be appropriately attired and adequately prepared.

The school calendar for Academic Year 2023 – 2024 is out and should be consulted when making travel plans. Please note that the next academic year will begin on Thursday, 14th September 2023.
