Dear Parents,

The academic year 2019 – 2020 is drawing to a close, and it has been one like none experienced before. On behalf of the E.I.S. teaching staff, I extend my heartfelt thanks to our community of parents and our students who have been supportive and understanding during these challenging months of our third term.

I would like to call your attention to the following information and reminders:

Charity Donation

On 10th June, E.I.S. honoured its commitment to charity by delivering this year’s donation to the school in the commune of Ouidah, ECOLOJAH/Ecole Endogénie Jardin de la Fraternité. The founders of the school and the students heartily thank the E.I.S. parents and students for their generosity.

Week of 22nd June

This will be the last week of remote learning. The deadline for textbook return is set for 25th June.

Child Progress Conferences

Conferences are being held this week by phone/online according to appointments arranged with teachers.

25th June – Reports released

Please note that a signature and phone number will be required for pick-up of your child’s report and that COVID-19 prevention protocol will be in effect.

29th and 30th June have been designated teacher work days to focus on planning for next academic year. The 2020 – 2021 academic year will begin on Monday, 14th September 2020.

E.I.S. Yearbook

The 2019 – 2020 Yearbook will be a digital one and will be out by the last day of term.

Virtual Closing Message for Academic Year 2019 – 2020

The virtual Closing Message will be accessible on the E.I.S. website under Website News from 30th June.

The school calendar for Academic Year 2020 – 2021 is out and should be consulted when making travel plans. Please note that the next academic year will begin on Monday, 14th September 2020.

A detailed information letter will be out this week regarding the plans and scenarios for re-opening school in September, based on the evolution of the pandemic. We shall continue to keep you informed as the situation evolves.
