Dear Parents,

Teachers and students have been working hard and have gotten the 2015 – 2016 Academic Year off to a productive start.  We once again welcome new families who have joined us. 

We thank parents for their attendance at our Information Evening on Friday, 2nd October, at which time teachers displayed curriculum materials and answered questions about classroom routines, expectations and goals.  If you were unable to attend the Information Evening and wish to discuss your child’s programme at school or have queries of any nature, please do not hesitate to call in for an appointment with the class teacher or with me or Mrs. Taxiltaridis (Assistant Head). You may seek assistance from the school secretary to make such appointments.

We appreciate your consideration of teachers’ busy work schedules and the necessity for them to remain attentive to pupils’ needs during school hours.  We thank you for your cooperation in making sure that the telephone numbers which you have given to school are working numbers, should we need to contact you in the event of an emergency.

Please make note of the following information:

After-School Activities: Monday – Friday, 15:00 – 16:00

The list of activities is posted on the school website.  Activity fees are to be paid directly to the instructors (with the exception of Prep) and are due when your child starts the activity.  Kindly make sure that your child is collected promptly at 16:00.

Institut Français Programme

Please note that the October / November / December programme of the Institut Français is now out and available for viewing on our Cotonou Culture Board (behind the secretary’s office).  The programme may also be picked up at the reception area of the Institut Français.  There are a variety of cultural offerings for children and adults.

English Football / Soccer for EIS Teenagers

EIS Upper and Middle School students, who are 13 years old and above, are welcome to participate in the Sunday Soccer Activity, held on the school field from 17:00 – 19:00.  The students thank Mr. George for agreeing to supervise the popular activity this year. 

Halloween Parties – Friday, 23rd October

More information will be forthcoming from class teachers.

Half-term Holiday: 24th October – 2nd November (inclusive)

Classes will resume on Tuesday, 3rd November

School Uniforms

Please note that in January 2014 we implemented a new stock control system for uniforms which allows us to issue a point of sale ticket receipt for all uniforms sold. Uniforms will not be sold without the school providing a ticket receipt. Please see a sample ticket below.
