Lower School
The English International School was founded in order to create a place where children can work to the best of their ability, discover and build their talents and grow steadily in confidence and maturity. The aim of the school is to develop the qualities of integrity, honesty, truth, compassion and tolerance, and foster a spirit of enquiry.
The Lower School uses a curriculum that provides an international education in English for children from Reception - Year 5 in the British system. The school will prepare children academically and emotionally for entrance to the Middle School, directing their enthusiasm to good work habits and self-discipline.
The school day begins at 8:00 and there is a break at 10:15 when the children have time to play. School resumes at 10:45 and there is a further break at 12:15 when the students eat their packed lunches and play in the garden or on the school field. The school day finishes at 14:45 but children may remain in school and join in after-school activities until 16:00.
